Author Guidelines

Authors should submit their manuscripts through the BN-JECA online submission system so that submitted papers can undergo the journal's editorial screening and peer-review process.

1. ORCID — All authors are required to provide their ORCID iD. The submitting author must ensure names, email addresses, affiliations, and ORCID iDs of all co-authors are correctly entered.
2. Manuscript Length — Manuscripts should contain at least 5,500 words, including references, unless otherwise approved by the editorial team.
3. Manuscript Template — Authors should prepare manuscripts using the official BN-JECA manuscript template, following required formatting, structure, headings, tables, figures, citations, and reference style.
4. Abstract — The abstract should be a single paragraph of no more than 260 words, presenting purpose, methodology, major findings, main conclusions, and relevant implications. It should not contain unnecessary citations, tables, figures, or references.
5. Keywords — Provide 3–5 keywords separated by semicolons (;) and arranged alphabetically.
6. Language — Manuscripts must be written in clear, formal, academically appropriate English (American or British English used consistently).
7. References and Citations — All references must follow APA Style, 7th Edition. DOIs must be included when available. For research-based submissions, at least 70% of references should be published within the past five years where appropriate. Review articles are exempt from this recommendation.
8. Conclusion — The conclusion should clearly summarize major findings and implications in a single coherent section addressing the study's objectives or research questions.
9. Research Instruments and Appendices — Survey questionnaires, interview guides, and other instruments should be included as appendices where appropriate. Supplementary files should be clearly identified and explained during submission.
10. Authorship — The submitting author is responsible for correct author information. All listed authors must have made meaningful contributions and approve the final version. New authors may not be added after acceptance without editorial approval.
11. Number of Authors — There is no automatic limit when justified. Large author groups should explain each author's contribution.
12. Artificial Intelligence (AI) — AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Substantive AI use must be disclosed per the journal's AI Policy.
13. Originality and Simultaneous Submission — Manuscripts must be original and not simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Substantial overlap with prior work must be disclosed.
14. Ethical Requirements — Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive subjects must comply with ethical standards. Ethics approval and informed consent information must be provided where required.
15. Conflict of Interest — Authors must disclose financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could influence the research or its publication.
16. Submission Compliance — Manuscripts that do not meet requirements may be returned or rejected during initial screening. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
17. Continuous Publication — Accepted manuscripts are published online individually after completing editorial, peer-review, revision, and production processes.

Authors who publish with BAMBOO NEXUS: Journal of Innovation, Education, and Climate Action (BN-JECA) retain copyright of their published work, subject to the journal's applicable publication and licensing terms.

Authors may enter into separate, additional arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of their work, such as depositing it in an institutional repository, sharing it on a personal or institutional website, or including it in a book or other scholarly work, provided that the original publication in BN-JECA is properly acknowledged.

Authors are encouraged to share their published work through appropriate academic and institutional platforms to promote dissemination, visibility, and citation. Any subsequent distribution or reuse should properly acknowledge the article's original publication in BN-JECA and retain the article's bibliographic and DOI information where applicable.

The names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, and other personal information entered in the BN-JECA journal submission and website systems will be used only for purposes related to the operation, administration, editorial processing, peer review, publication, and communication of the journal.

Personal information will be handled responsibly and will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties except where disclosure is necessary for legitimate journal operations, required by law, or necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly publishing process.

BN-JECA is committed to respecting the privacy and confidentiality of authors, reviewers, editors, and other users of the journal website and submission system.

BN-JECA charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

Standard Publication Fee: PHP 3,000 per article

The publication fee applies only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has been accepted for publication. The fee covers editorial and production processes associated with preparing the accepted article for publication.

• Submission of a manuscript is free of charge.
• Authors are not required to pay a publication fee before peer review.
• Payment of the publication fee does not guarantee acceptance.
• The publication fee is requested only after an acceptance decision.
• The standard fee applies to manuscripts that comply with prescribed word limit and formatting requirements.
• Additional charges, if applicable, will be communicated before publication.
